Some things I love:

--SNOW! (tons of it)
--Small yippy dogs and fluffy cats
--Meatlessness
--The sound of the wind in Albuquerque
--Cauliflower
--Ghost hunting (although I've never tried it)
--Beachbody coaching and working out
--Exploring my inner craft goddess
--Hospitals (call me crazy, but I've always found comfort in hospitals)
--An ice cold pillow
--Being 100% Czech

A few things I don't love so much:

--Loud eaters and chompers
--People that are mean for no reason (especially to animals)
--Small dogs yipping
--Being hot (as in getting overheated)
--Stepping in dog poo and not finding out until you are on the highway going 55mph
--Getting up with the alarm clock
--Hearing about a kid taking his/her own life due to bullying

Get a Swarovski Blinged Bodybugg Armband!

Here is one of my custom armbands on ebay with a starting bid of $44.99. Click the link underneath the pic to visit the auction:

Custom White Stripes Armband

As you can see, I've found a new hobby: personalizing Bodybugg armbands. I have to say that the Bodybugg may be the best invention since microwavable dinners. This thing tells me exactly how many calories I burn throughout the day, and the company claims that it is 90% accurate. I wear it everywhere (except the shower). I even sleep in the darn thing.

Anyway, I wear the Bodybugg all the time, but sometimes a boring black armband just doesn't go with your outfit or your personality. That's why I am making customized Bodybugg armbands with Swarovski crystals.

The price is $65 at my Etsy store and this includes shipping and insurance. Or for a less expensive alternative (but the same crystals and quality), check out my Blinged Armband auctions on ebay. You could get one for as low as $39.99.

The Swarovski Crystals are hot fixed to the strap, so they shouldn't fall off. In any case, you need to take care of the strap as you would with anything with crystals on it. You can also gently hand-wash if needed.

The available crystal colors are as follows:
4mm: Crystal Moonlight, Black Diamond, Silk (light pink), Light Colorado Topaz (Light Brown), Blue Zircon (almost teal green)
3mm: Crystal, Ernite (light green), Citrine (yellow), White Opal, Jet (black), Montana (dark blue), Padparadscha (orangy-pink), Rose (darker pink), Light Rosed, Indian Pink (bright pink)

E-mail me if you have any suggestions or requests.

As quickly the days move, sometimes we miss the negative things we do to ourselves and our bodies. Whether it’s eating sweets or fast food, drinking alcohol, taking drugs, not exercising, etc., people are constantly hurting themselves just for a short feeling of euphoria. Is eating that donut or McDonald’s Big Mac really going to satisfy you and nourish your body in the long-run? Is drinking that bottle of vodka or taking those pain pills really going to make your heart hurt less? Is watching that episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” or “Big Brother” going to satisfy your need for excitement? Do you ever take a look at yourself and what you are doing to your life? As Ferris Beuller said, “Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

As I sit here blogging on my computer with my fiance next to me watching football and managing to love on me and our two chihuahuas (during commercials of course =P), I think to myself "Life is Good."

This Is Not Christianity

Ok, this guy, Terry Jones, claims that he is a Christian.  Honestly, I am disgusted that he even associates his actions with Christianity.  Of course, he is free to have an opinion on the building of a mosque close to Ground 0; but his scheduled burning of the Koran is more than just an opinion.  The burning of the Koran is nothing more than a sign of hatred.  That is not what Christianity is about, and his careless actions could cause awful consequences for innocent Americans all over the world.

Simple and to the point....

As I sit here and start my first blog post, I still wonder what I am really going to write about. What is something that people will want to take the time to read? I mean it’s even hard to keep my attention on something for more than a few seconds…..

That’s actually what my biggest problem has been—the fact that I always tend to start things and get distracted, overwhelmed, or lazy and never finish. But I’m tired of being that person….that lazy girl that doesn’t take care of herself or anyone around her, or that girl that sits and stares at the TV for hours on end. What kind of life is that anyway? It’s like playing a really boring movie over and over again: wake up, go to work, come home, watch TV, go to bed. Bleh!

So I have started a journey to better myself. I want to be healthy, feel good, and just be happy……
